Aumi Pets provides this website, including all information, content, features, tools, products, and services available through it, subject to your acceptance of these Terms of Service and all other policies referenced within them.
By visiting our website, creating an account, placing an order, purchasing a product, or otherwise using any part of our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, referred to throughout this document as the “Terms.”
These Terms apply to all users of the website, including visitors, customers, account holders, suppliers, merchants, and individuals who submit reviews, messages, or other content.
Please read these Terms carefully before accessing or using the website. If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use our Services or purchase products through the website.
Our online store is hosted by Shopify, which provides the e-commerce platform that enables us to offer and sell our products.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer right, warranty, condition, remedy, or protection that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or modified under applicable Canadian federal, provincial, or territorial law.

- You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
- The information you provide is accurate, current, and complete.
- You will use the website and our products only for lawful purposes.
- You are authorised to use the selected payment method.
If you permit a minor to use the website through your device, account, or payment method, you are responsible for supervising that use.
You must not:
- Use the website for an unlawful or fraudulent purpose.
- Violate applicable laws or regulations.
- Infringe our intellectual-property rights or those of another party.
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
- Introduce viruses, malicious code, or harmful software.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, accounts, or systems.
- Interfere with the operation, security, or availability of the website.
- Use automated systems to scrape or extract content without permission.
- Place orders using stolen or unauthorised payment information.
- Misuse discounts, promotions, reviews, or referral programs.
We may restrict or suspend access where we reasonably believe these Terms have been materially breached or where action is necessary to protect our customers, business, systems, or legal rights.
Section 3 — General Conditions
We reserve the right to refuse, hold, restrict, or cancel an order for lawful and reasonable reasons, including:
- Product unavailability.
- An unsuccessful or reversed payment.
- Suspected fraud or unauthorised activity.
- Incorrect product or pricing information.
- Delivery restrictions.
- Suspected commercial resale.
- Misuse of a discount or promotional offer.
- Inability to verify order information.
- A material breach of these Terms.
- Abusive, threatening, or fraudulent conduct.
Where we cancel an order after receiving payment, we will refund the amount paid for the cancelled product or order to the original payment method, unless another remedy is agreed or required by law.
You may not reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell, commercially exploit, or distribute any part of the Services without our prior written permission, except where permitted by law.
Nothing in this section gives us an unrestricted right to cancel an accepted order or avoid obligations imposed by applicable consumer law.
Section 4 — Products and Store Scope
Aumi Pets offers products intended primarily for cats, dogs, pet owners, and households with pets.
Our product range may include:
- Feeding bowls and mats.
- Grooming products.
- Brushes and grooming gloves.
- Nail-care tools.
- Pet-cleaning products.
- Toys and enrichment products.
- Beds, blankets, and comfort products.
- Collars, harnesses, leads, and accessories.
- Travel and outdoor accessories.
- Pet-hair removal products.
- Training and household-care products.
- Other cat- and dog-related goods.
Products are offered for ordinary household and personal pet-care use unless otherwise stated.
Product availability, designs, colours, materials, sizes, packaging, and specifications may change over time.
Section 5 — Product Information
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, images, dimensions, materials, specifications, compatibility information, prices, and other details displayed on the website are accurate.
However:
- Colours may appear differently depending on your device or display settings.
- Measurements may be subject to reasonable manufacturing tolerances.
- Packaging may change without materially changing the product.
- Pattern placement or minor finishing details may vary.
- Product photographs may include styling items that are not part of the purchase.
- Sizes and fits may vary between manufacturers.
- Natural or handmade materials may contain minor variations.
- Illustrations may not always show a product at its exact scale.
You are responsible for reviewing the complete product description before ordering, including:
- Dimensions.
- Weight recommendations.
- Breed or size guidance.
- Materials.
- Intended use.
- Care instructions.
- Safety warnings.
- Included components.
- Power, battery, or charging requirements.
- Age or supervision recommendations.
Where a size guide is provided, it is intended as general guidance. You should measure your pet carefully rather than relying only on breed, age, or weight.
If we discover a material error affecting a product you ordered, we will contact you where reasonably possible and provide an appropriate option, which may include proceeding with corrected information, selecting another product, or cancelling the affected item for a refund.
Nothing in this section limits your rights where a product is defective, unsafe, materially misdescribed, or otherwise fails to comply with applicable law.
Section 6 — Pet Safety and Responsible Use
Pet products must be selected and used responsibly.
Before using a product, you should:
- Read all instructions and warnings.
- Confirm that the product is suitable for your pet’s species, size, age, weight, health, and behaviour.
- Inspect the product for damage, loose components, or wear.
- Introduce unfamiliar products gradually.
- Supervise your pet where appropriate.
- Keep packaging and small parts away from pets and children.
- Stop using a product if it becomes damaged or unsafe.
No toy, chew product, restraint, collar, lead, harness, or accessory should be assumed to be indestructible.
Pet owners must regularly inspect products for:
- Tears.
- Cracks.
- Loose threads.
- Broken fasteners.
- Exposed filling.
- Sharp edges.
- Loose batteries.
- Small detached parts.
- Excessive wear.
Immediately remove and dispose of a product if it creates a choking, swallowing, entanglement, strangulation, cutting, electrical, or other safety risk.
Never leave a pet unattended with a product where supervision is recommended or reasonably necessary.
Section 7 — Size, Fit and Suitability
You are responsible for selecting an appropriate product size and checking the fit before extended use.
For collars, harnesses, clothing, footwear, carriers, beds, bowls, and similar products:
- Measure your pet according to the product guide.
- Check that the product does not restrict breathing or movement.
- Ensure straps, buckles, and closures are secure.
- Recheck the fit as your pet grows or changes weight.
- Stop using the product if it causes discomfort, rubbing, irritation, or restricted movement.
Breed-based recommendations are approximate because pets of the same breed may differ significantly in size, shape, weight, and behaviour.
A product that was ordered in the wrong size but matches the size and description selected during checkout may be handled as a change-of-mind return under our Return and Refund Policy.
Where we supply a size or variation different from the one ordered, we will provide an appropriate remedy.
Section 8 — Grooming and Care Products
Grooming tools and care products must be used carefully and only for their intended purpose.
When using nail grinders, clippers, brushes, dryers, grooming bags, cleaning tools, or similar products:
- Follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Introduce the tool gradually.
- Keep electrical products away from water unless specifically designed for wet use.
- Avoid sensitive areas, eyes, ears, wounds, and irritated skin.
- Do not apply excessive pressure or heat.
- Monitor your pet for stress or discomfort.
- Stop immediately if your pet appears distressed or injured.
- Seek professional grooming assistance where appropriate.
Rechargeable and electrical products should be charged, stored, cleaned, and operated only as directed.
Products containing batteries or electrical components must be kept away from chewing pets and should not be used if the casing, cord, battery, or charging port is damaged.
Section 9 — Veterinary and Professional Advice
Information provided through our website, product descriptions, guides, customer support, social-media pages, or marketing materials is general information only.
It is not a substitute for advice, diagnosis, or treatment from a qualified veterinarian, veterinary technician, animal behaviourist, groomer, trainer, or other appropriate professional.
Aumi Pets does not diagnose medical conditions or guarantee that a product will resolve a health, behavioural, grooming, or training issue.
Consult a veterinarian before using a product where:
- Your pet has a medical condition.
- Your pet has allergies or sensitive skin.
- Your pet is injured, pregnant, elderly, or very young.
- A product may be swallowed or ingested.
- Your pet shows pain, fear, irritation, breathing difficulty, or unusual behaviour.
- You are uncertain whether the product is appropriate.
In an emergency, contact a veterinarian or animal emergency service immediately.
Section 10 — Product Safety, Recalls and Incidents
We aim to offer products that comply with applicable Canadian product-safety requirements.
A product must not be used if it:
- Has been recalled.
- Arrives visibly damaged.
- Has exposed wiring or batteries.
- Contains loose or broken components.
- Has sharp edges.
- Appears contaminated.
- Creates an unexpected safety risk.
- Does not operate as intended.
If you become aware of a safety concern, injury, near miss, product defect, or unexpected hazard, stop using the product and contact us at info@aumipets.com.
Please provide:
- Your full name.
- Your order number.
- The product name.
- A description of the incident.
- Photographs or videos where available.
- Information about any injury or damage.
- The product batch, serial, or packaging information where available.
We may ask you to retain the product and packaging while the matter is reviewed.
Where appropriate, we may:
- Provide safety instructions.
- Arrange a return.
- Offer a refund or replacement.
- Notify a supplier or manufacturer.
- Cooperate with Health Canada or another authority.
- Contact affected customers.
- Remove a product from sale.
Section 11 — Product Availability
Products may be available in limited quantities and may be supplied through different fulfilment locations.
Adding a product to your cart does not reserve it.
All orders remain subject to:
- Product availability.
- Successful payment.
- Fraud and security checks.
- Verification of order information.
- Delivery availability.
- Acceptance by Aumi Pets.
If a product becomes unavailable after you order, we may:
- Cancel the unavailable product and issue a refund.
- Offer a suitable alternative, subject to your agreement.
- Ask whether you prefer to wait for restocking.
We will not substitute a materially different product without your consent.
Section 12 — Prices, Currency and Taxes
All prices displayed on the Aumi Pets website are shown in Canadian Dollars (CAD) unless clearly stated otherwise.
The total amount payable will be displayed during checkout before you submit your order.
Where applicable, the checkout may include:
- Product prices.
- Discounts.
- Shipping charges.
- Applicable federal or provincial taxes.
- Other mandatory charges.
We do not intend to advertise an unattainable price by adding undisclosed fixed mandatory fees later in the purchasing process.
Prices may change for future purchases without prior notice.
A price change will not normally affect an order that has already been accepted, except where:
- There is an obvious pricing error.
- A discount was applied improperly or fraudulently.
- The order was placed contrary to disclosed promotional conditions.
- A correction is required by law.
If a material pricing error affects your order, we will contact you before fulfilment and offer the option to proceed at the corrected price or cancel the affected product for a refund.
Section 13 — Taxes, Customs and Import Charges
Aumi Pets operates from the Netherlands and may use fulfilment facilities located in Canada or other countries.
The tax and import treatment of an order may depend on:
- The product.
- The order value.
- The dispatch location.
- The delivery province or territory.
- Applicable Canadian tax and customs rules.
- Our fulfilment arrangement.
Known mandatory costs charged by Aumi Pets will be disclosed during checkout before you place the order.
Unless clearly stated otherwise, our intention is that customers should not be required to pay unexpected duties or import charges upon delivery.
If a carrier or customs authority requests an unexpected payment, contact us at info@aumipets.com before paying where reasonably possible.
Your bank or payment provider may independently apply currency-conversion or foreign-transaction fees. These fees are not controlled by Aumi Pets.
Section 14 — Placing an Order
Before submitting an order, you will have an opportunity to:
- Review your selected products.
- Review sizes, colours, and variations.
- Review quantities.
- Review prices and discounts.
- Enter and correct contact information.
- Enter and correct billing and delivery information.
- Review shipping charges.
- Select an available payment method.
- Review the total amount payable.
- Accept these Terms and applicable policies.
By submitting an order, you make an offer to purchase the selected products under these Terms.
You are responsible for checking your order carefully before submitting it.
After placing an order, you will normally receive an automated order-confirmation email.
Section 15 — Contract Formation
An automated order-confirmation email confirms that we received your order. It does not necessarily mean that we have accepted it.
A contract is generally formed when:
- We expressly accept the order;
- The order enters fulfilment;
- The product is dispatched; or
- We otherwise communicate acceptance in writing.
If we cannot accept an order, we will notify you and refund any payment received for the affected product or order.
Reasons may include:
- Product unavailability.
- Payment failure.
- Suspected fraud.
- Delivery restrictions.
- An obvious pricing or description error.
- Violation of a quantity restriction.
- A legal or regulatory restriction.
The contract applies only to the products whose acceptance has been confirmed.
Section 16 — Billing and Account Information
You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information when placing an order or creating an account.
This includes:
- Full name.
- Email address.
- Telephone number.
- Billing address.
- Delivery address.
- Payment information.
- Other information reasonably necessary to process the order.
You are responsible for updating inaccurate information promptly.
We are not responsible for a delay or failed delivery caused solely by incorrect or incomplete information supplied by you, except where responsibility cannot lawfully be excluded.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and notifying us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
Section 17 — Payments
Payments are processed through Shopify Payments or other third-party payment providers displayed during checkout.
Available payment methods may vary depending on:
- Your device.
- Your browser.
- Your location.
- The order value.
- The selected currency.
- Payment-provider availability.
- Store settings.
By submitting payment information, you confirm that:
- You are authorised to use the payment method.
- The information is accurate.
- Sufficient funds or credit are available.
- You authorise the amount shown during checkout to be charged.
- Fraud and verification checks may be carried out.
We do not normally receive or store your complete payment-card information.
An order may be held, delayed, declined, or cancelled where payment is:
- Declined.
- Reversed.
- Disputed.
- Incomplete.
- Flagged for security review.
- Suspected to be fraudulent.
Where an order is cancelled after payment, an appropriate refund will be issued.
Section 18 — Promotions and Discount Codes
Promotions may be subject to separate conditions displayed on the website or in promotional materials.
Unless expressly stated otherwise:
- Discount codes cannot be combined.
- Discounts cannot be applied retrospectively.
- Offers cannot be exchanged for cash.
- Product exclusions may apply.
- Minimum order values may apply.
- Offers may be limited to one use per customer or household.
- Promotional stock may be limited.
- Offers end at the stated time and date.
We may reject fraudulent, unauthorised, or improper use of an offer.
We will not knowingly use false regular prices, misleading discounts, fabricated scarcity, or undisclosed mandatory charges.
Section 19 — Shipping and Delivery
Shipping, delivery estimates, tracking, delayed packages, address changes, lost packages, and related matters are explained in our Shipping Policy.
Orders may be fulfilled by third-party suppliers, warehouses, or fulfilment centres located inside or outside Canada.
Products from the same order may be shipped separately.
Delivery estimates are not guaranteed unless expressly stated otherwise.
Delays may occur because of:
- Carrier disruption.
- Customs processing.
- Severe weather.
- Wildfires or natural disasters.
- Public holidays.
- Labour disruption.
- Remote delivery locations.
- Incorrect customer information.
- International transport disruption.
- Events outside our reasonable control.
Our use of an international supplier or dropshipping arrangement does not remove our responsibility for fulfilling the contract or providing remedies required under applicable law.
Section 20 — Delivery Address and Transfer of Risk
You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address.
Please check:
- Recipient name.
- House or building number.
- Street.
- Apartment or unit number.
- Municipality.
- Province or territory.
- Postal code.
- Country.
- Telephone number.
Risk in the products generally passes to you when the order is delivered to:
- You.
- A person authorised by you.
- A safe location expressly authorised by you.
- A collection point selected or approved by you.
Risk does not pass merely because the product has been handed to a carrier selected by us.
Section 21 — Returns, Refunds and Exchanges
Returns, refunds, exchanges, and order cancellations are governed by our Return and Refund Policy.
Our voluntary return policy operates in addition to rights provided under applicable Canadian law.
Different rules may apply depending on:
- Your province or territory.
- The reason for the return.
- Whether the product is defective.
- Whether the product was misdescribed.
- Whether the wrong product was supplied.
- Whether a voluntary change-of-mind return is requested.
You must not send products to our registered business address unless our customer-service team has confirmed that it is the correct return location.
Products may need to be returned to a separate authorised facility.
Section 22 — Faulty, Damaged, Unsafe or Incorrect Products
Contact us if a product:
- Arrives damaged.
- Is defective.
- Is unsafe.
- Does not operate as described.
- Is materially different from its description.
- Is the wrong product, size, colour, or variation.
- Is missing essential parts.
- Was damaged before delivery.
- Otherwise fails to comply with applicable law.
Email info@aumipets.com and include:
- Your full name.
- Your order number.
- A description of the issue.
- Photographs or videos where relevant.
- Photographs of the packaging and shipping label where applicable.
We may request reasonable evidence needed to assess the issue.
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, an appropriate remedy may include:
- Repair.
- Replacement.
- Refund.
- Price reduction.
- Another reasonable solution.
A lack of original packaging will not automatically remove a legal remedy for a genuinely defective or unsafe product.
Section 23 — Optional and Third-Party Tools
We may provide access to third-party tools, applications, tracking services, payment methods, review platforms, or social-media features.
Third-party services may be subject to their own:
- Terms.
- Privacy policies.
- Security practices.
- Availability.
- Technical limitations.
We do not control the independent operation of those services.
Nothing in this section reduces responsibility we may have where a third party acts on our behalf in processing or fulfilling an Aumi Pets order.
Section 24 — Third-Party Links
The website may contain links to websites or services operated by independent third parties.
These links are provided for convenience and do not necessarily constitute an endorsement.
We are not responsible for the content, availability, security, products, or independent practices of third-party websites.
Before purchasing directly from a third party, review its terms, privacy policy, returns policy, and contact information.
Section 25 — Reviews and User Content
You may submit reviews, ratings, photographs, comments, suggestions, or other content.
You retain ownership of original content you create.
By submitting content to Aumi Pets, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, adapt, publish, translate, display, and distribute that content for purposes reasonably connected with our business and marketing.
You confirm that submitted content:
- Reflects your genuine experience or opinion.
- Is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
- Does not infringe another person’s rights.
- Is not unlawful, defamatory, threatening, discriminatory, or deceptive.
- Does not contain malicious software.
- Does not disclose another person’s private information without permission.
- Does not falsely claim that a pet used or benefited from a product.
- Discloses any material incentive received for the review.
We may moderate or remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law.
We will not knowingly publish fabricated reviews or present incentivised reviews as independent when disclosure is required.
Section 26 — Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the website and its content are owned by or licensed to Aumi Pets or Seta Services.
Protected content may include:
- Brand names.
- Logos.
- Product photographs.
- Graphics.
- Written content.
- Videos.
- Icons.
- Product descriptions.
- Website layout.
- Software and code.
You may access the website for personal, non-commercial shopping purposes.
You must not reproduce, modify, distribute, publish, scrape, sell, or commercially exploit website content without prior written permission, except where permitted by law.
Section 27 — Personal Information
Our collection, use, disclosure, retention, and protection of personal information are explained in our Privacy Policy.
Personal information may be processed by providers involved in:
- Website hosting.
- Payment processing.
- Fraud prevention.
- Order fulfilment.
- Shipping.
- Customer support.
- Analytics.
- Advertising.
- Marketing communications.
Because Seta Services is established in the Netherlands and uses international service providers, information may be processed outside Canada.
Where required, we take reasonable steps to protect personal information and comply with applicable privacy requirements.
Section 28 — Errors and Omissions
The website may occasionally contain technical errors, typographical mistakes, outdated information, or omissions relating to:
- Product descriptions.
- Product availability.
- Prices.
- Discounts.
- Delivery charges.
- Delivery estimates.
- Sizes.
- Specifications.
- Product compatibility.
We may correct errors and update information.
Where a material error affects an existing order, we will act reasonably and contact you where appropriate.
Depending on the circumstances, we may offer:
- Corrected information.
- Confirmation that you wish to proceed.
- Cancellation.
- Replacement.
- Refund.
We will not use this section to impose a materially different contract unfairly or avoid remedies required by law.
Section 29 — Prohibited Uses
You must not use the website or Services:
- For an unlawful purpose.
- To encourage unlawful activity.
- To infringe intellectual-property rights.
- To harass, threaten, or harm another person.
- To submit materially false or misleading information.
- To collect personal information unlawfully.
- To send spam, phishing messages, or malicious communications.
- To introduce viruses or harmful code.
- To interfere with website security.
- To impersonate another person or business.
- To place fraudulent orders.
- To circumvent purchase or promotional limits.
- To submit false reviews.
- To scrape content through unauthorised automated methods.
We may suspend access, cancel affected orders, preserve evidence, or take appropriate legal action in response to prohibited conduct.
Any order cancellation remains subject to applicable consumer rights.
Section 30 — Availability of the Website
We aim to keep the website secure, accurate, and available.
However, access may occasionally be interrupted by:
- Maintenance.
- Technical faults.
- Shopify disruption.
- Payment-provider outages.
- Security incidents.
- Internet or hosting problems.
- Events outside our reasonable control.
We may update, suspend, replace, or discontinue a website feature where reasonably necessary.
This does not affect an accepted order or legal right unless the change is required by law or caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Section 31 — Disclaimer of Warranties
We do not guarantee that the website will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device or browser.
Product results may vary depending on:
- The individual pet.
- Size and breed.
- Behaviour.
- Training.
- Health.
- Correct product selection.
- Proper use.
- Supervision.
- Care and maintenance.
We do not guarantee that a toy will be indestructible, that a grooming product will suit every pet, or that a training or enrichment product will produce a particular behavioural result.
However, nothing in these Terms excludes any warranty, condition, representation, or consumer protection that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Section 32 — Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
This includes liability relating to:
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
- Deliberate misconduct.
- Defective or unsafe products where liability cannot be excluded.
- Breach of mandatory consumer rights.
- Personal injury caused by our negligence where liability cannot be excluded.
- Any other matter that cannot legally be limited.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for loss caused solely by:
- Use of a product contrary to clear instructions or warnings.
- Continued use after the product became visibly damaged.
- Selection of an unsuitable size or product despite clear guidance.
- Failure to supervise a pet where supervision was recommended.
- Modification or misuse of the product.
- Normal wear and tear.
- A pet unexpectedly chewing, swallowing, damaging, or escaping from a product where the product itself was not defective.
We remain responsible for foreseeable loss directly caused by our breach of contract, negligence, or failure to comply with applicable law.
Products are supplied primarily for personal, household, and pet-care use.
Unless expressly agreed otherwise, we are not responsible for business losses such as loss of profit, revenue, commercial opportunity, or anticipated savings.
Section 33 — Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you may be responsible for reasonable loss directly caused by:
- Your unlawful use of the website.
- Your deliberate and material breach of these Terms.
- Your infringement of another person’s rights.
- Content submitted by you that unlawfully infringes another person’s rights.
This responsibility does not apply:
- To losses caused or contributed to by Aumi Pets.
- To losses that were not reasonably foreseeable.
- Where applying the term would be unfair.
- Where liability cannot lawfully be transferred to you.
Nothing in this section imposes an unlimited or disproportionate indemnity on a consumer.
Section 34 — Events Outside Our Reasonable Control
We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by an event outside our reasonable control where the law permits.
Such events may include:
- Severe weather.
- Wildfires.
- Floods.
- Natural disasters.
- War or civil unrest.
- Government action.
- Customs disruption.
- Labour disputes involving third parties.
- Major transport disruption.
- Widespread internet or telecommunications failure.
- Public-health emergencies.
- Payment-system outages.
If such an event affects an accepted order, we will take reasonable steps to:
- Contact you.
- Minimise the delay.
- Provide available updates.
- Offer an appropriate solution where the delay becomes substantial.
Section 35 — Suspension and Termination
These Terms remain effective while you use the website or Services.
You may stop using the website at any time.
We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary because:
- You materially breach these Terms.
- Fraudulent or unlawful activity is suspected.
- Your conduct creates a security risk.
- We are required to do so by law.
- The relevant service is discontinued.
Suspension of website access does not automatically cancel a contract for an order that has already been accepted.
Termination does not affect rights, obligations, or remedies that arose before termination.
Section 36 — Severability
If a provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, it will be interpreted or limited to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable where possible.
If this is not possible, the affected provision will be severed.
The remaining provisions will continue in effect.
Section 37 — No Waiver
A delay or failure by Aumi Pets to exercise a right does not waive that right.
A waiver is effective only when expressly confirmed in writing.
A waiver relating to one matter does not automatically apply to another matter.
Section 38 — Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our:
- Privacy Policy.
- Shipping Policy.
- Return and Refund Policy.
- Payment Policy.
- Product-specific conditions.
- Promotional conditions.
- Other policies expressly incorporated by reference,
form the agreement between you and Aumi Pets concerning your use of the website and purchase of products.
Where product-specific conditions conflict with these general Terms, the more specific conditions apply to the relevant product, provided they are lawful and fair.
Section 39 — Governing Law and Consumer Protections
These Terms and contracts formed through the website are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada, without applying rules that would unfairly deprive a consumer of mandatory protections.
If you live in another Canadian province or territory, you continue to benefit from any mandatory consumer rights and protections applicable in your place of residence.
Nothing in these Terms requires you to give up:
- A mandatory consumer right.
- Access to a court or tribunal available under applicable law.
- A remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.
- Consumer protections provided by your province or territory.
Before beginning formal proceedings, both parties are encouraged to contact the other and make a reasonable effort to resolve the dispute.
Section 40 — Complaints
To make a complaint, contact:
Please include:
- Your full name.
- Your order number.
- A description of the issue.
- Relevant photographs or documents.
- The outcome you are seeking.
We will review the complaint and aim to provide a substantive response within a reasonable period.
We aim to respond to all enquiries within one business day during our customer-service hours.
Nothing in this complaints process prevents you from exercising a legal right or contacting an applicable consumer-protection authority.
Section 41 — Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect:
- Changes to our Services.
- Changes to our products.
- Changes to applicable law.
- Security or operational requirements.
- Changes to suppliers or fulfilment arrangements.
- Changes to third-party services.
The updated version will be published on the website and the “Last Updated” date will be amended.
Changes generally apply only to future website use and future orders.
We will not retrospectively alter the terms of an accepted order unless:
- The change is required by law.
- The change benefits you.
- You expressly agree.
